Conference Details

The conference theme, Recent Trends on Prospective Applications of Advanced Materials, aims to explore the latest developments, innovations, and breakthroughs in advanced materials. It highlights how these materials are transforming various industries, including energy, electronics, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. The event will serve as a platform to discuss novel approaches in materials science and their potential to address global challenges, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and technological advancements. The global use of advanced materials, such as nano-materials, composites, biopolymers, biomaterials and thin films, is rapidly expanding across applications like wastewater treatment, fluoride removal from drinking water, effluent treatment, and studies on antimicrobial and anticancer properties. Basic research in this field is essential for both academics and scientists. The international conference will provide valuable insights into the latest advancements in the synthesis and applications of these advanced materials.

This conference is going to provide a wide range of exposure to the young students as well as researchers in the proposed research domain and promote on making linkage among industry, scientists and academicians. The challenges on development of smart material from various resources and their utilization can comprehensively be attainable.

Accepted papers for the conference will be compiled into an edited book with ISSN number. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that there will be awards for outstanding presentations, recognizing both oral and poster contributions during the event.

About Department

The Department of Chemistry, Fakir Mohan University was established by the Govt. of Odisha, as a Regular Post Graduate Department in the year 2018 to carter the much-awaited demand of students, University and related stakeholders for a long. The Department actually curved out of the Department of Environmental Science where M. Sc. Chemistry course was running by the University under SFC mode. Since the inception of M.Sc. Chemistry course from academic session 2012-13 in the University, the course has been gathering an acceptable success in the field of Chemical Sciences. Alumni feedbacks, University’s willingness and after all the local public demand are the main cause behind its regular existence in 2018. For Now, the Department is offering M. Sc. and Ph. D. degree with 36 sanctioned student intake capacity for M. Sc. Program. At present, the Department is running with six teaching faculties and three staff members at Nuapadhi Campus. The broad area of the research of the faculty members are Material Chemistry, Process Chemistry, Aqueous Chemistry and Chemical & Biochemical Remediation. In addition, the Department has signed the MoU with two premier industries namely Emami Paper Mills Ltd. and Balasore Alloys Ltd., Balasore, Odisha, India to bring the linkage between Industries and Academia which is unique of its kind.
